Secret Garden: My Centre Block Details

First thing to consider was the centre. From my fabric selection, the only combination that anchored the centre was blue print with a dark gold ring.
Taking into account the strong use of pinl and blues in the surrounding blocks, I went with yellow outside and pink inside bloom heads.

  1. This is so spectacular, Esther! It's amazing how you put together these intricate applique designs. The colors and fabrics you choose are just perfect, and I really love the gold veins you stitched on your leaves.

  2. I have been looking through your blog for more information about your fusible applique method and I did find the tutorial for freezer paper applique with the note stating that you're using a washaway fusible product now with the same method. You're still hand stitching your applique to the background, right? The fusible product gets fused to the applique shape before you turn the edges, rather than fusing the applique shapes to your background fabric? Would you mind sharing which washaway fusible product you use? I admire your work so much.
