WOW = WIPs On Wednesdays

Do I look busy enough already? Apparently not, because I've gone and added a KFC kit to my list of things to get done in 2018. Nope, I don't know what I'm doing either.
Like many people, I went and stockpiled some KFC fabrics these last 2 weeks and I'm glad I did because it made me list and commit to those quilts I knew I definitely wanted to make. It also increased my WIP list by about a metre. I have no idea how I'm going to squeeze it into my schedule, but what can I say, this Lattice With Vases kit was just too good to pass up.

Oh dear -- NO, I did not panic-shop for Kaffe Fassett or for Tula Pink fabrics, because I GAVE UP SHOPPING FOR LENT!!! :-( I hope there is still fabric left for me by the time Easter rolls around. I will probably be buying from the shifty fabric scalpers on etsy and eBay...
ReplyDeleteHa! Don't worry, there's the new range to look forward to after Easter (in May I think?), but I had to stock up as I started KFC WIPs 6 or 7 years ago and had to get enough of the old stock to finish them. And now I have so much fabric, I don't think I'll be shopping for a while..
DeleteThat's a beautiful KFC kit, Esther. It will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Which year are you going to make this up Esther? Do you have 2. 2018 years? I must admit the temptation was pretty strong. I love that quilt top. Wishing you Happy. Long long cold winter days when you have to stay inside all da and just sew! . Cheers Glenda
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what KFC stands for except Kentucky Fried Chicken! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen I read this post and saw KFC I wondered what you would have to say about Kentucky Fried Chicken in a post about quilts. Ha ha. Kaffe Fassett didn't come to mind. It's a beautiful quilt you'll be making there.
