Troubles with my Bernina 820 QE

This is a page which is long overdue. That said, it gives me no pleasure or satisfaction to have decided to be upfront about my issues with this machine. Certainly, this machine is my biggest sewing regret and I wish I'd never purchased it. And I'm not alone. Women from all over the world who, just like me, trusted the Bernina brand name, purchased this machine in good faith - only to find themselves devastated, disappointed and at a loss to explain how such an anticipated machine could be so much trouble.

The Bernina 820 should never have been manufactured. Now that it has - it should be recalled. 

Every time I sit down to sew, there is an issue. In fact, I have spent more time fixing this machine than I have sewing on it. I'm devastated. No one invests in a machine because they don't want to sew or because they'd rather waste their sewing time complaining about it. This was the machine purchased to take me through the next 10 years of my sewing life - which I intended to be my busiest, most creative and productive. Instead, it's come to a grinding halt as I face unsatisfactory options - to keep it in its troublesome state, to start the merry go round of hauling it into repair every other week (which by rights I should be doing right now but have avoided due to the value of my own time) or to trade it in (at a significant loss to me). All options punish me, the sewer and are unsatisfactory. So, I'm at a standstill. What to do? I haven't decided. I'll keep you posted.
