Freudian Slips

I have a journal for jotting down phrases that I want to hear again and again (I have a journal for everything) and just yesterday my DD was having a look through when she noticed this slip… have I been quilting too much or what???

Sew/ Sow, so what's the difference?

Pretty much any time is sew time in my household. I think I need to get some housework done.

  2. I guess that means your mind was where it was meant to be - stitchy land!

  3. I can see how you might slip that way, if it was a slip, but it's totally correct! This one says rend/sew (or mend). The one about planting says "a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted." So no sowing, here. That's the one about the seed in Luke Chapter 8.

By the way, I'm really looking forward to your new BOM! Thanks for last years, too.

  4. In the "New American Standard Bible", it says "a time to rend and a time to sew".

And, really, when you think about it, rend does go with sew. How many times have you done "unsewing" with your handy seam ripper?
