It worked for just so long and then we on our own we one gave up completely and 2 do it as its needed and me well!!!!! I have 28 granchildren and I have at least 6 quilts in various stages of production for them. I can't resist to start one that I know will suit the child. However, I don't allow myself to start something new until I have finished something. This makes me want to pick up something that really doesn't need that much work on it.

I had to finish my Baltimore Album blocks before I started the Civil War Bride.BizarreQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15095799741642276376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8113183995005359036.post-60568451652289030652009-09-11T08:16:01.277+10:002009-09-11T08:16:01.277+10:00Mmmmmm. Since I didn't know any better---and obviously still don't, I followed her que and built a stash which I add to frequently. If I had to do it over again, I really would only buy what I need for ONE project, and finish it before I started another. This would be my ideal world. A clean slate. I could still do that if I had the nerve to get rid of everything I have stashed and stored in my sewing room. Thing is I don't know if I would be any happier than I am now? Interesting topic of conversation, and really something to think about when we mentor new quilters.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03160457872569395644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8113183995005359036.post-73939047044306466232009-09-09T23:24:24.643+10:002009-09-09T23:24:24.643+10:00My mother was like that, didn't take her long ...My mother was like that, didn't take her long to break out of that habit! I think the way to accomplish it is to lock yourself in a room with your tools, and to not look at other inspiration - blogs, books, nature, etc., and just work on that thing until it is done. It would be plenty boring that waythough.Shelina (formerly known as Shasta)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03290945204269323129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8113183995005359036.post-45883493631214037202009-09-09T22:41:48.971+10:002009-09-09T22:41:48.971+10:00I can't imagine only working on one project at...I can't imagine only working on one project at a time. I never know what mood I'm going to be in for working. Will I want to machine piece? Will I want to cut fabric? Will I want to trace stitcheries? Will I want to do handwork? I love having many projects on my list. I don't mind have plenty of fabric to choose from to make those projects.
